Welcome Letter from Kathleen Quinn
Dear Sisters,
I am honored and excited to continue being a part of the leadership team for AXO's Delta Omega Delta Alumnae Chapter in North Orange County California! This past year as we continued to navigate the needed changes post the global pandemic - getting together, getting things accomplished, finding strength and courage, and having just plain perseverance continues to be challenging and amazingly our sisterhood continues to be resilient and thrive! We joyfully met our 2022 recruitment goals, our annual events goals, and and our philanthropic service goals! Most special of all, at AXO National Convention this year, we were awarded the AXO Seeking the Heights National award for both MEMBER ENGAGEMENT and PHILANTHROPY! I am so incredibly grateful for all the women in our alumnae group and their commitment to our sisterhood and to our community! We have the most wonderful leadership team. The support we have received from AXO Regional and National has been fabulous. I am so proud of the work we have done and continue to do! A little bit about me, I was initiated at Epsilon Kappa in 1981, I was elected Treasurer, Philanthropy Chairperson, Panhellenic Representative, and Big Brother Chairperson. I was on the committee that nominated EK for National Council Trophy in 1985, of which I am proud to say we won that year! And I served on the EK 50th Anniversary Gala committee in 2018, the endeavor that reconnected me with my sisters in Southern California and convinced this traveling nomad to move back home permanently. I value our sisterhood. Each day I discover new reasons to be so very grateful for our lifelong bond. For me, the women of AXO are truly family! Each of us beautifully diverse in our views and ways of doing things, our career paths, our life experiences and yet family! My aspiration is to bring life and lots of energy to our DOD alumnae chapter. I have significant experience successfully directing not for profit organizations and leading volunteer groups. I consider myself a purpose driven servant leader. My leadership style is all about empowerment and innovation. I embrace diversity in all respects and think it is imperative for teams to be highly successful. My mission will be to serve you and the needs of our chapter with loyalty, integrity, and compassion. I look forward to meeting each one of you and working together with you to achieve great things for our DOD chapter, collegiate chapters, and our communities at large. LITB, Kathleen |
