SUPPORTING OUR SISTERS
In light of the past year’s challenges, our sisters with DOD have created several teams to support sisters all throughout our region. The first is our HERA’s HELPER TEAM that provides emergency help for any AXO sister in need. This past year we were able to help sisters during the wildfires here in the region. We also helped sisters during this COVID-19 pandemic by running errands and getting groceries for sisters who required sheltering in place. We also created a HOSPITALITY TEAM that keeps in contact with our members, sending encouraging notes and holiday best wishes. We have a new pen pal program with our collegiate students to help keep them motivated and focused on their school work and engaging them in our ever-growing bond of sisterhood. If interested in supporting or needing help yourself, please contact Marty at [email protected]

We are active in Orange County supporting several philanthropies:
- Laura’s House with Domestic Violence Awareness and Education endeavors. We also support Laura's House with much needed groceries and clothing items.
- Surf Rider Foundation supporting our environment and our clean beaches. We join together with neighboring AXO alumnae groups and clean our local beaches.
- OC Food Bank supporting efforts to keep food supplies available for the needy in Orange County. We have canned food drives that our family & friends also support! If you would like to donate dollars: www.justgiving.com/AXODOD-NorthOCAlumnae
- Together We Rise supporting Orange County foster children. We make duffel bags and stuff them with child friendly essentials, teddy bears and warm blankets.
- Cal State Fullerton’s SAFE program supporting emergency needs and supplies for CSUF students throughout the year. We want to help this growing population of students trying to go to college but struggle with the high cost of housing, food, and basic emergency needs.
